Dentistry of Uptown Charlotte was founded in 1995 by Dr. Robert Heck, who established the practice with a vision of delivering honest, high-quality dentistry rooted in integrity and long-term patient relationships. A graduate of the UNC Adams School of Dentistry, Dr. Heck spent nearly three decades caring for families throughout Uptown Charlotte, building a practice known for trust, compassion, and clinical excellence.

In April 2022, Dr. Heck retired and passed the practice to Dr. Minka Hotic, also a UNC Adams School of Dentistry graduate. Dr. Hotic shares the same patient-first philosophy and commitment to excellence, while bringing a modern, evidence-based approach to care.

Dr. Hotic is known for her minimally invasive, holistic, and comprehensive style of dentistry.
